The purpose of the New Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church COUPLES Ministry is to bring married couples together in the spirit of Christian love. It is our intention to assist married couples in bringing unity and understanding in how God intends for us to live.

Our purpose is to help in serving family, friends, and guests when we are gathered together to feed our physical beings. We aim to help in the serving of food, smiles and spiritual helping hands, as we provide assistance to each ministry of the church with their individual functions that include the serving of food.

Audio/Visual Statement of Purpose:

Our AUDIO/VISUAL Ministry seeks to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by utilizing audio and video technology for God's glory. Our ministry is comprised of volunteers working hard to enable all believers and unbelievers to experience a service of worship through the duplication of DVDs and CDs. New Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church is committed to sharing God's Word beyond the four walls of our church.

As a ministry, through our stewardship and commitment to God, it is our mission to evangelize, encourage and equip the saved and the unsaved with the Word of God. It is our goal to grow our ministry and continue to support our Pastor and the congregation with state of the art audio, video and lighting capabilities for all ministries that require our service. The MUSIC Ministry of New Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church has as its purpose and duty to sing praises unto the Lord -- to lift up Our Lord in songs of praise. We delight ourselves in the Lord, and love to praise His Holy Name. O sing unto the Lord a new song; for He hath done marvelous things. We love to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Through our ministry of song and praise, we inspire praise worship to the congregation and prepare hearts and minds to receive the Holy Word of God. Praise ye the Lord! Through our ministry of songs and praise worship we inspire the downhearted, the sick and the shut-in with outreach ministry.

Statement of Purpose:

Our purpose is to teach all who will come willing to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. We strive to use the Bible as our primary tool for teaching participants aabout the Sovereignty of God, the life of Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit. We do this weekly reviewing structured lesson plans, reading the Bible, and engaging in discussion that adds clarity to The Word for our use as Christians.

The SUNDAY SCHOOL Ministry additionally conducts the Vacation Bible School sessions to help further the knowldge and understanding of The Holy Trinity to the youth of New Tabernacle and the community at-large. Activities, games, lessons, programs and nourishment are provided daily for a two-week period.

Statement of Purpose:

The YOUTH Department of New Tabernacle makes up every youth in the church. The Youth Department is constantly growing and establishing ministries that help children and teenagers grow spiritually and become committed Disciples of Christ in the church and the community.

Currently offered as ministries within the Youth Department are: Teen Etiquette, Junior Ushers, Junior Health Care (Nurses), Junior Deacons, Praise and Worship, and the C.B. Curtis Choirs. Every youth is encouraged to become a part of one or more of these ministries, but also to suggest additional ones. The entire Youth Department meets monthly to discuss issues relevant to our Christian walk, to plan activities, and to study God's Word. All Youth Ministries are responsible for carrying out the mandate for every disciple - evangelism. Christian education is being expanded and will be an important part of the Youth Department.

Participation in ministries within the Youth Department is open to all youth. Parents are encouraged to get involved!
