The New Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church is a family of baptized believers who have, over the many years of our existence, been a light of Christian inspiration within the community that we are part of. God, by the power of His Holy Spirit, has maintained continuity between the pastors past and the current pastor, keeping the focus of our church as being Christ Centered, Ministry Minded, and Fellowship Friendly. We are passionate about the Word of God as being the foundation that we build upon and believing what the Word of God says, "only what you do for Christ will last."
We also give ourselves to prayer. We believe that prayer is a practice of God's design that every believer should understand it as being important, necessary, and serious. We also believe that since Jesus thought it necessary to give us an example of prayer (Matthew Chapter 6) and to pray for us (John Chapter 17) we have, as a church family, made prayer an integral part of our experience coupled with fasting.
As a church family, who is not perfect, we strive to become perfect in Christ by realizing that everything that we do whether we are at home, at work, at school, at church, etc., we are to do all things as unto the Lord, allowing Him to order our steps.
The New Tabernacle church family knows that in order to be effective as God requires for us to be, we must all be in it together and make the necessary changes to get it done.
Because it will take change to build God's House, it will also require New Tabernacle disciples to activate your faith and heighten your personal commitment to honor the Word of God. As members of the Body of Christ, we must dwell together in unity and work toward common goals. Believing in the Power of God, our corporate prayers will be answered and our petitions will be heard. Building on this, the Sure Foundation of our faith, is the only way we will grow in Christ. It will take change. It will take a steadfast effort on our part to love the labor of the harvest. This will indeed take change. We must ask ourselves, "Do we have the courage to make that change?" The courage to trust God [Worship], believe in His [Word], and fulfill our mission in this life [Witness]. As we commit ourselves to making the change needed, we do so with the objective of striving for excellence in all that we do as unto The Lord. As He orders our steps, we will move in a forward motion to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we won't turn back!
